As mentioned above the spacecraft in use by the nation tend to be leasuire palaces for the barons.  They take pride in painting their interors in great detail and having grand amounts of stair cases and chefs.  Here are some of the currently home built ships.

Alkline Frigate

"Do you have a man in your life who has nothing?  Then he most likely wants the new Alkline Frigate!!"

Alklines are a basic starter frigate.  Most barons get this when they first are appointed just to flex their spending muscle a bit.  As mor eof a status piece then a warship the Alkline comes with a ton of options, few of which are guns.  It is a slow ship built mainly for the cruise around the moons.  Many of these get destroyed every year by drunken Barons teenage children.

Clunker Transport - Maybe the only thing that isn't sexy in this land of valor.  The Clunker literally is just as it sounds.  Its built to put as much as you can on the sides of the vessel and to get it to where you need to go as fast as possible!  It is highly automated, and a good amount of the times operated by Anti-Barons.

Destroyer - Not really a step up from the Alkline, but usually a show of power during some Barons mid-life crisis.  The destroyer has a high amount of power and weapons.  This is a very cheap vehicle to produce but the size and cost of operating keeps most barons in the lower levels instead of in the Destroyers hull!

Structure

When you join the military you must demonstrate physical and mental strength(At the start.)  After this the need for this becomes less and less important.  No one is ever asked to leave the army.  Because of this the amount of ranks has never really been categorized.  All we know at the moment is this :

• HIGHEST rank is King.  He controls the military forces in the entire system.
• LOWEST rank is recruit.  Anyone joining gains this rank.
• Most commanders are at a rank of 'Anti-Baron' or 'Baron' and have the respective powers. 

Because of the odd structure most individuals serve at the bequest of a baron or an anti-baron with full loyalty of the King.  This is almost a feudal structure of military warfare except that systems are in place so that barons have no control over the transport ships with in the empire.  Therefore any rebellion of sorts is kept limited.

Age has been expressly mentioned in the Structure.  The pay goes up with every rank you gain. 

• A new recruit will get 250H$ per 'Solar Month' (2 Months)
• A senior rank A.244 will get 520H$ per 'Solar Month' (2 Months)

Weapons

Ka-Towian III - Developed by the Joint Baronic Committee for the Redesign of Tolenian Imports (JBCRTI).  This vehicle was made to conform to the role of support.  Support is the job which it is to do as it is technically an APC.  The armor is light compared to other vehicles.  It has two light cannons on the top which can penetrate some other thin skinned vehicles.  Meanwhile it can hold 5-6 infantry soldiers with in its hold.  These soldiers exit from a medium sized door at the back. 

Due to Anti-Baronic concerns the armor was sourced to two private firms.  This made the end result messy and with no support facilities there was no real way to paint the end units.  As a result the current designs are openly miscolored.

Haadi Standarized Rifle (HSF) - With 74 inhabited planets the King demanded that one rifle design be made aviable for production by the Anti-Barons.  The HSF was what came out of this.  A simple machine which is made in order to do one thing; kill.  It has no modifications yet as the basic item is STILL being manufactured as back ups and export into other worlds. 

The main feature of this item is a webbing located on the butt of the rifle.  When not in combat this can be used to hold extra items.

Tactics

Ground

Ground tactics are built around quick strike units.  These units use any items at their disposal in order to try to take enemy bases under control.  Their known for the ability to take a planet in a matter of months instead of years in some cases.

This said they are not yet trained in this tactic in the field.  Most of this comes from armchair barons who think this is the best way and have forced military policy around it.  If it does work in practice it will be a boost to the national moral.

Naval

Strike tactics do not translate to the naval aspect.  Instead ships are slow, deliberate and strategic in their movements.  Given that the ships are privately owned and on loan the use of them in anyway that could easily destroy them is a negative for the empire.  In this way one is more likely to see the naval side staying back and trying to use the basic system of gravity to shoot from trillions of miles away.

Analysis

Currently the majority of life in Haadi is human.  With 78% of the population.  However the growth of the Xax and Tycian because of recent conflicts should not be over looked.  Gash population dropped as they began immegrating more towards the Conway Collective.  Other accounts for the highest perecent out of 'alien' races.  However Other accounts for all native species on the planets that have been discovered with in the Haadician territory.

The King holds diversity close to him.  Because of this he has championed rights of live for all races with in the universe.  This is most recently shown in his creation of LAT.

Analysis

While race continues to be a major issue with in the international sphere, the amount of individuals who are not Human and are royal is slim.  This is seen as a decreasing trend however.  Due to the laws which describe how long it takes to be a baron the clause that 25 others must help you helps the other races.  For example Other races make up almost 7% this is mainly due to trade agreements; but other parts of it have to do with supporting each other through the process.

In the next millienum the Tycians are considered to be the fastest growing baron race due to large support by their home government.

Analysis

With the current strife a good amount of trade has begun to shift.  Leonarian, Dracian, and Ishawar trade budgets are down substantially.  While Republic trade is not all the way down but it will most likely get there with in the next few months.  This production has shifted towards more favorable markets in the Conway Collective.  Who now imports almost 45% of our goods.

The trend towards more favorable nations and political styles is most likely to continue especcialy for nations like the Zagarians or the nuetral Legion.

As of todays environment trade has been cut with the aggressors seen perpetuating conflict through the universe.  The Conway Collectives share of our imports has increased exponentially because of this.  This is something that the government is looking to cull due to heavy reliance on the Conwaian people.  Expect the imports from Tychobrae, and the Uniltareralist empires to increase while the Conway to decrease (Unless there is some kind of political action.)

Population by Age

Analysis

Current population distribution shows a high % of individuals with in the 25-40 range.  This is due to the large increase in population after the tolen break up.  The younger generations are just starting to be fostered into the world.  While the older generations are living longer then ever before.

Current trends put the distribution gaining a dramatic increase in the ages of 0-6.  Most of the individuals with in the 16-40 categories are expected to have children.  After this happens it will force the category to rise dramasticly.

If this happens then the service industries with in the empire will rise drasticly.

Employment by sector

Analysis

Haadi's are still very much a manufacturing culture.  They produce large amounts of items that get exported to the rest of the universe.  Existence of organizations such as the KMS push this philosophy even further. 

Service is growing slowly as people and especially barons get richer off the items that are sold into nations.

Culture

Painting

Haadician nobles, and poor take pride in their cultures painting.  It can best be described as a mix between a Mozart sympathy and a Van Gogh.  Unforgettably to human eyes this is extremely hard... and rather disturbing to relate.  When most individuals look at a Haadician painting they see almost a splatter of paint at random.  When a Haadician looks at the wall it comes alive with his thoughts and ideas, figurativly, and not litterally.

When the first Tolenian officials began arriving on the planet they were dumbfounded by the rather boring and uncivilized culture.  Some wished to be taken to a planet that at least had a Television per person!  The ones who stayed were forced to watch the wall.  Dinner would be served with all seats at the wall.

What happens next depends on who you are dining with.  The social convention is to always let the highest ranking individual at the table, from the home land of course, describe.  An old Tolenian Guide book says the rest,

"What you find is that everyone is just making what they see up.  Do not try this though.  People know when a foreigner is making up what they see when looking at almost any artist.  The best way to interact is to really try and get into their shoes and ask yourself, 'What do I really see?'  Haadis will then let you finish your stew."

I am Baron Gooti-Hanzel III representing the grand and rather smart King Fiahtt,

The Tolen empire may be gone but we still stand, and consequently you still stand also.  We would like to sign a treaty of free trade on our goods going into your lands.  Thus you would not be able to tax or harass our merchant ships as they bring valuable, and superior goods from the Haadician empire towards yours.

I am very sure that this will be a productive encounter.

One of the main aspects of the New King Fiahtt I new plan is trade.  That is maintaining the status quo and building a bigger export market for Haadician goods.  The major export that we are looking at with the GARFT is basic metals.  The abundance on our planets is amazing, but they are not what we have been looking for.

At this junction we have invited on politic into our Alliance, (NightWolf).  If accepted it would be one of the first international treaties signed since the fall of the Tolen empire.  More importantly it would secure the trade partner that we really would like to have.

Details

Treaty of the Galactic Alliance for Realtivly Free Trade.  (Herby known as GARFT)

GARFT is an open ended trading alliance for as many powers that would like to join.  The Haadician empire may at any time disband this treaty or ask a group to leave on grounds of unfair usage.  Under this treaty all members must :

• Give protection to Allied ships under attack by pirates.
• Disolve any Tariffs or taxes on Haadi Goods (In Key space ports.)
• Set no quota on the import of goods from Haadi.
• Disallow any unneeded exchange of goods from your nation into Haadi.

The Undersigned agree to uphold this treaty on the backs of the others!

Amendment

Pending the LAT conflict the GARFT was amended to try and end torture throughout the galaxy.  Aspects 1 and 2 were removed and changed allowing for a less strict ahearence to ships.

Faux Invasion of Axxit II

The Dracianian empire came back and said they would begin talks with the Haadicians in order to eleivate the public pressure of the situation.  The bargining table was set.  King of the Haadis even reduced the aspects of the GARFT (And the revised aspect STILL stands.)  At this junction it still has not been ratified by any power.

Discussions broke down after the Dracianians decided that they would take an extreme stance and try to get something FOR torturing people.  At this junction something new had to be done.

The League of Anti-Torture

The League has a very very simple mission.  To protect life from being tortured by those who will disrespect it.  More or less protecting everything from torture.

Symbols

The 7 stars represent the 7 stars of freedom.  The shining 7th star shows that the world is not quite unified yet with the principals that should be universally accepted.  It is a sore spot in the universe and must be fixed.

Nations are free to join if 50% of the group does not object to them joining.  After wards they may participate in LAT actions and or LAT negotiations.  Nations that are NOT in LAT are only subjected to LAT bylaws if the other nations must some how impact that nation.

Tychobrae plan - In standing with the policies of the LAT the Tychobrae empire has suggested that the individuals who are subject to current torture in the Dracianian empire be resettled with in the homeland of Tychobrae.

1. Each nation of the LAT will provide a porition of support for this mission.
2. Nations will be under the command of a Tychobraeian commander for the duriation of the mission.
3. No one will open fire unless fired upon.
4. Any fire from the Dracianian empire will be determined to be an act of war.
5. The joint task force for relocation of the unwilling will end when the individuals are safely landed on the new planet.

About

The Meeting of Bastion was a last ditch effort by The Legion to avert a full crisis.

Attack!

The attack by the Republicans came as a huge surprise to the King.  No one foresaw the suprise attack that would come on the KMS farming planet of Happslto.  This small planet supplies ores for production of writing utinzels. 

The battle begun when sensor A-X4432234-234SSS picked up a routine flight of Republic ships moving slowly over the border.  Given that the entire military was moving away towards a confrontation with the FOT this was a surprise.  The republic was never known to support either side in this conflict and in fact most hoped they'd stay neutral.  Unforgivably this was not to be the case.

Slowly the ships moved into our undefended territory while the King was quickly notified of a major attack and a declaration of war.

Response

The king was notified of the unprovoked attack last night. We find this a hostile aggression towards all major parties in the universe. Not only are Haadi worlds NOT COGNIZABLE BY AN OUTSIDE FORCE. They are by no means governable either. Why? If you have read our legal system the people who run the planets have long royal and economic ties. In fact you are attacking and important trade world. The problem is that the Trade world is exclusively owned by the KHS ( LOOk at my background) They are extremely loyal to the Haadi and have been ordered to destroy their items on the planet on our command.

Second. We urge the immediate passing of HP2 And the implementation with in 2-3 (Real days) so that we can focus our attention on this needless attack.

At this time we urge patience on our allies part. We do not want a wide and major war. We never wanted war in the first place and this is just another sign of the instable environment in which we live in today!

The HP2 bill is the key to the response.  As it will free up our military.  Meanwhile the military has diverted its fleets from the regions north for a full scale attack on their territory.

KHS Response

From an internal memo :

 We have been asked by the King to destroy all mining operations on the planet.  In return for this we have been proposed extra land gained during the war at a below average rate.  At this junction it is in our long term best interest to take this.

Furthermore Haadicia has cut off all trade with its neighbors.  The easiest location to trade with (next door) is closed and we must find new markets for our newly backed up supply lines.

War Update I

 

With a raging war updates are not always easy to get to the public.  Recently the brilliant counter attack by the Haadi king forced soverign Republic land to be contested!  Our council is deciding what to do with this region.

The regions around it have now been cut off from support and supply.

Allies

Two nations have publicly pledged ships and support.  The Tycobraes have already begun launching attacks in the southern area of the nation.  While a miscommunication meant that the other allied forces were mistakenly attacked by the Conway Collective.

Application studies are using knowledge from class room discussions or lectures and applying them to a general theme.  This allows the system to be used for education as well as furthering the information aviable to the user of this nation.

Kavalion Manufacturing Society

 

Background : The KMS is an anti-baronic manufacturing society that operates on almost half of the planets in the current Haadi empire.  It produces a huge array of produces and employees almost 56.5 Million workers. 

Management Principals

The current CEO--Anti Baron 'Aspecious' Smith-- has taken the company from one which relied heavily on barons into one which tries to play the free market against itself.  Currently the government focuses on attempting to build a 'older' workplace.  They want efficiency and that is their goal.  

Working with the KMS

With the limited regulation and social laws with in the Haadician empire working for the KMS is a poor mans hole.  It is routine and boring work.  The massive amounts of items that are produced per factory mean that the workers have to be in top performing attitudes or get thrown out.  This strict atmosphere does not allow for much wiggle room anywhere with in the structure.

Average workers are salaried at 450H$ per solar month.  This is actually better then a new recruit but the work is long and hard.  12 hour days are expected at least 3/4 of the week. 

Health Insurance

Recently the company became the first Haadi Anti-Baron to give its individuals free health coverage.  This has come at a huge cost to the company, but it is in their interests.

Customers

Most people are working to buy their own products.  The KMS sells all its products to low cost retailers who in turn sell them in the numerous planets in the universe.  The KMS has NO Operating space transports because of this the cost is passed onto a middle man or the retail party.  The main reason for this is because they do not want to get into wars in which their ships are taken away for use by the military.

KMS executives have been thinking about returning to transporting their own goods.  Customers get the cost pawned on them if they are too far away from a manufacturing district for a particular good.  This said the negatives are too high for Anti-Baron Smith.

Recent Efficiency Increases

Due to the change in the Health Care system the company is now much more effective.  The workers know their tasks are menial but they have a purpose to stay with the organization and continue working hard.  This has shown a spike in the production at most factories by at least 4.5%.

General Environment Report

• Socio-cultural differences will continue to decline as our products become more wide spread in the universe.
• There is a large merging of tastes in the outer worlds as there was in the past in the inner-worlds.
• New races of aliens are being discovered, which have new tastes and wants.  Some factories should begin retooling if anything of profit is found.
• Economicly the nation is strong.  We have a favorable trade status from the King.  Free trade policies mean that we are gaining a lot of money exporting goods.
• Trade wars could interupt our progress soon.  The latest spat with the Dracians (2.5% of our exports) show that we could have to change this exporting quickly.

Task Environment Report

• Current suppliers of goods report no major outtages or stoppages of production. 
• Importing of materials from the outter systems may slow down if there is any conflict with the Dracians.
• We get very few items from the Dracians, but most of those are specialized metals.
• Customers are showing a strong liking towards our cheap and universally aviable products.
• Our closest competitor is with in no reach of touching us any time soon.

Internal Environment Report

• Interior culture is still stiff and hard to change.
• The addition of health care has given the workers more interest in the company and its success.

International Environment

• Dracian trade could halt if their torture tactics do not stop.  We have been told by the King that since so many essential goods go to Dracian ports that we will be forced to stop sending items there.
• Clear peace with other nations means that our export markets could grow due to good favor with treatied nations customers.

• There is a great deal of buzz about increased military spending and projects.
• This could lead to an increase in the standing military which would mean a need for us to increase R&D in this sector.

• With the change in our own policy comes a reworking of common law in society.
• Individuals are not sure when they get to keep their health insurence, or even how it is used.
• We must continue working with the government so that our employees do not lose face, at home, and in the workplace.
• Dracian torture means that the political environment has become unstable and could lead to a down turn in all economies.

Recent Ethical Dilemas

• Axxit II
  • The military wanted to use the Farm planet for a show of military force against unwanted agression.
  • Our farms operating on this planet supply food for over .92 billion people. 
  • Large concentrations of ships in the airspace over Axxit II caused a disruption in shipping.
  • Shares for the company went down 3.4% on the annoucement.
  • Solving :
    • We were notified of this before hand.  The King gave us the option of either using this planet or another manufactoring planet. 
    • The Manufactoring planet produced 45% of the screw, and nail supplies for the empire.
    • Current population of the empire is 5.9 billion.
    • Our decision was to look at it in the Utilitarian approach.  We saw that the greatest good in terms of satisfaction would not be the increased bellies.  But the low price of screws.
    • We sent our decision to the King.
• Hans XXII
  • Hans XXII has a large group of native indians on the planet who find machines evil.
  • We wanted to place a manufactoring facility on the planet because of its prime location.
  • Indian diplomats went to the local Barons and said that they would massure all the people in the area if we built our facility.
  • Solving :
    • In this case we took the Justice approach.
    • We decided to compensate them justly for the land that we were using (Although they did not own it.)
    • This lead them to back off as they now increased their individual wealth by 5,400 H$ each.

• Economic Responsibility : A- For a failure to produce a higher profit then possible due to changes in our long term operating procedures.
• Legal Responsibility : A- For issues with Hans XXII and allowing the government to use our land.
